I had H-shifter problem with ETS2 and ATS, clutch pedal problem with several other simulators ( shifter was working with them ). Solved the problem a minute ago, propably you knew it already Zepp , I had not updated Fanatec firmware. After updating it, everything works. On the G29/G920 shifter, reverse is engaged by pushing down on the knob and putting it where 6th is. Use that pattern to assign the gears properly in the settings. Start with the shifter in neutral, click the position you want to assign, then put the shifter in that gear and put it back in neutral. Repeat for other gears.
